Departure to Puerto Iguazú Arrival to Puerto Iguazu. Accommodation at hostel and free day. Breakfast. In the morning we leave to Iguazú National Park to visit the Argentine side Iguazu Falls. We can walk around two paths, one upper and another one lower in which we can have panoramic views and appreciate the 275 falls from the footbridge and vantage points. Breakfast. In the morning we leave to Do Iguacu National Park to visit the Brazilian side Iguazu Falls. In the evening departure to Salta. Arrival to Salta during the night. Breakfast. Full day tour to Cachi or Cafayate
*Cachi: We are starting our trip taking the route 68 to the South passing through little towns. We will be travelling across Escoipe Gorge, The Enchanted Valley until Mill ´s Stone (3400 masl), from where we´ll be entering into the National Park Los Cardones. We´ll take an old Inca road, passing through the town of Payogasta until we arrive to Cachi, village that still keeps the architecture of its colonial past. There we´ll visit the church, the main square, the antropological museum and the craft market. At the end of the visit, we are coming back to Salta through the same road.
*Cafayate: We are leaving from Salta to the South, taking the route 68, passing through little towns like Cnel. Moldes, La Viña (agricultural area which main production is tobacco). We are visiting the village of Alemanía, and from there we are entering to Cafayate Gorge, where we´ll see in the mountains the erosion of millions of years, created by wind and water (Devil´s Throat, Amphitheater, The Monk, The Castles, Parrot´s House, The Windows and The Toad). After visiting these places, we are arriving to the town of Cafayate to visit some wineries and to taste the speciality of the region, torrontés wine. After walking through the town, we are coming back to Salta through the same gorge, which will offer us a different landscape in our way back to the city. Breakfast. Full day excursion “Backpackers to the clouds”. We´ll take route 51 to the West, to San Antonio de los Cobres where we will travel parallel to the railway track of the famous Train to the Clouds. We´ll travel across Bull Gorge, Chorrillos, Ingeniero Maury, Alfarcito, Las Cuevas and Santa Rosa de Tastil, where we visit the ruins with the same name, the town and the antropological museum. We continue to San Antonio de los Cobres where we´ll walk around in this old mining town. Once finished this visit, we´ll change direction, this time to the North passing through route 40 towards the Big Salt Flats, shared with the province of Jujuy. There we´ll see the pools where the salt is extracted. After visiting the salt lakes, we continue to Purmamarca through Lipan´s Slope and Los Amarillos. Once in Purmamarca we´ll visit the town and after this visit we´ll go back to Salta. Breakfast. Free morning. In the evening departure to Mendoza. Night in the bus. Arrival to Mendoza, accommodation in shared room. In the evening Wineries excursion. We visit one craft and one industrial winery. Breakfast 7.30 am High Mountain excursion. We are starting our trip taking the route 7, go over “The Andes”, Potrerillos (valley before mountains), Uspallata Valley. We visit the historic bridge "Picheuta", Polvaredas, "Punta de Vacas" (Mendoza river beginning), "Penitentes" (sky center), visit to "Puente de Inca" (geology area and hot spring water), Aconcagua Provincial Park (Horcones lagoon), "Las cuevas" border area. if the weather and path are good we visit "Cristo Redentor de los Andes" 4200 meters above the sea level. Return to the hostel. Breakfast 9.30 am. We drive to Cacheuta, a small village 40 km west from Mendoza, on the Mendoza River bank, in the middle of the Andes. There we begin a 2 hours trekking at the "Cerro de la Virgen", reaching heights of 1.800 m. After enjoying the breathtaking view, we head down to do the 3 rappel (abseiling) jumps 15, 7 and 45 meters. When we finish we go to the hot springs where we bathe and relax after an intense day. We come back at about 7.00 pm. Free morning. Departure to Buenos Aires. Arriving to Buenos Aires. End of our services.
